If you’re a fan of the world’s most durable off-road vehicles, chances are, you’ve been acquainted with Russia’s Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ). For decades, the company has been manufacturing some of the country’s most notable, and formidable vehicles, including the Hunter SUV, which reigns supreme as one of its more well-informed offerings.
Now, the company is elaborating on the already-capable chassis with the Hunter Expedition — an enhanced package that will take the military-inspired platform to the next level. Thanks to the inclusion of a differential lock and upgraded rear axle, the four-wheel-drive SUV has been gifted with even more purposeful performance upgrades, working alongside upgraded exterior elements, cross members, and a winch system that won’t interfere with the 134-horsepower ZMZ engine’s ability to cool itself off. A set of ruggedized BFGoodrich T/A 235/85 R16 tires sit atop the Expedition’s all-black wheels, complementing its taupe, olive, or orange exterior, while cleanly-tailored, water-repellant fabric upholstery and heated seats define the platform’s interior. Head over to UAZ’s website to learn more about the $12,500+ SUV.
