“Why the hell not?” That was Chis Canterbury and partner Rebecca’s attitude when they set out to build a bike for the Portland One Moto Show. Chris, owner and founder of the Northern Californian based custom bike shop Boxer Metal had just finished out a build and shipped it off when he decided he wanted to really stir things up at the Oregon motorcycle show. In just seven weeks they managed to completely rebuild a BMW R100, throwing two turbos onto its engine to boot.

The donated bike was totally stripped down and rebuilt for a unique look and ride. The frame was strengthened to make sure it could sustain the force of the engine, and the fender and seat pan were made from scratch in-house at Boxer Metal. The 980cc motor on this beast is powered with a fuel injection system, saddled with two Speed Daddy T3 turbos, and attached to a fully customized exhaust that gives the bike some bark. The build ended up winning the show’s Motorrad Award, and by the looks of this gorgeous thing, we think it is pretty well deserved. [Via: Enginethusiast]
