Watches are the perfect combination of artistry and craftsmanship. They are small, complex instruments that are machined with the a kind of precision very few of us encounter in our daily lives. The Black Bay Dark by Tudor is no exception.

This timepiece is a modern take on a classic design from the past. It shares the same angular hands found in Tudor watches worn in the French National Navy used forty years ago, while also inheriting the same lines, domed dial and crystal from some of the brand’s first ever dive pieces from the 1950s. All of these great elements are given a thoroughly black finish – from the watch face, to the black PVD treated steel case, and the unidirectional steel bezel. Of course – this timepiece doesn’t just have the design elements of a diving watch – it’s MT5602 movement is completely functional up to 660 feet underwater. The price of the Black Bay Dark set to be around $4,500 on the strap. [Purchase]
