Triumph Scrambler Onyx by Deus Ex Machina
The Onyx is a diabolical looking machine with a blacked-out body that is svelte and sleek as a dinner tuxedo. Yet there is nothing formal about this spit-in-your-eye beast. It’s a custom motorcycle from Deus Ex Machina that turns a Triumph Scrambler from 2012 into a machine of power, substance, and style.
The cockpit is an unusual mix of parts from the Axis powers with MX bars from Yamaha TW and a Motogadget Chronoclassic set dead center on the console. The seat comes from Kushitani leather, a California-based operation that knows how to make a saddle buttery soft, comfortable, and yet capable of going for hours on the highway without giving you sores from a cross-country ride. The tank is stock, though adorned with a fresh bit of black paint, and boarders will find the stock surf rack a precocious choice for taking their gear to the beach.
