As the custom motorcycle world continues to play an increasingly influential role in the two-wheeled production realm, more and more manufacturers have turned to hosting bike build-offs as a means of marketing to demonstrate their respective model’s conduciveness to customization. The latest major manufacturer to take this route is Triumph, which just had its UK division reveal the finalists for its inaugural Bonneville Build-Off.
Starting with either a 900cc or 1,200cc member of the British marque’s Bonneville range, UK-based Triumph dealers were given cart Blanche to modify and transform the Bonnies however they saw fit. The nine finalists consist of a flat tracker, a 1990s-style fully-faired Speed Twin, a pair of scramblers and a street scrambler, three cafe racers, and a girder-fork-toting WW2-inspired military bobber. The public can currently vote for their favorite of the nine builds until October 14, at which point a winner will be crowned. Collectively, the one-off Bonevilles do a stellar job of showing off the immense range of possibilities the iconic parallel-twin platform offers and are sure to inspire more than a few new customers.
