Triple Aught Design has always been one for the creation and utilization of the world’s toughest accessories. With each new item that they release, we’re reminded of their time-tested proficiency, but sometimes, even they are subservient to a greater power. In this case, that power is Sangin Instruments — the widely-renowned American watch company owned and operated by a small group of battle-hardened individuals.
Since Sangin’s conception, the company has quickly garnered unparalleled support from both the military and law-enforcement communities, due, in large part, to its intrinsic quality and performance standards. Each of the company’s watches has been put to the test in the world’s harshest environments, ensuring their dependability and reliability when put under stresses that would cause other wristwear to crumble. Now, Sangin has partnered with Triple Aught Design for a limited-edition Merlin — a 40mm utilitarian timepiece crafted from brushed 316L Stainless Steel, illuminated with SuperLumiNova C3, and powered by an Epson VS42A solar movement, resulting in over six months of operational capacity. To keep things protected, a 120-click uni-directional rifled edge bezel and double-domed sapphire crystal adorn the watch’s exterior, complementing its 300-meter water resistance. Only 200 are slated for production, so head to the company’s website for more information on the $675 watch.
