Trek Motorized Camera Slider

Even as the quality and accessibility of digital cameras has increased exponentially over the past ten years, some types of shots have remained out of the realm of possibility for amateur videographers. Namely, the moving time-lapse shot. A small company named Trek is looking to change that with the Motorized Camera Slider.

This modular camera slide is designed to be sleek, portable, and super easy to use. All videographers need to do is pick what types of track they want to use (there are both curved and straight sections), snap them together, and attach their action camera or smartphone. Once set up, the Android and iOS enabled slider gives photographers total control over the time, distance, and speed of the shot. The only thing that rivals the simplicity of this equipment is its versatility. Designed to be compatible most all tripods, it can be set at an angle as steep as 90 degrees, or set up in a circle for a totally unique continuous shot.
