Minivans are about as uncool as vehicles get, and we’d never consider hitting the backcountry in one either. Well Toyota is looking to change all that with their 4×4 Sienna minivan.
Built specifically for taking on the brand’s upcoming Ever-Better Expedition (a 110-day, 16,500 mile transcontinental road trip), this badass van is draped in a matte black paint job, and equipped with everything you need to tackle any terrain that stands in your way. The UUV (ultimate utility vehicle) features flared fenders, an aggressive front bumper with embedded winch, a set of beadlock-style wheels wrapped in meaty lug tires built for the back roads, and a full set of off-road lights. Of course it’s also outfitted with fully capable off-road suspension built by the team at Engage off-road. While this our first look at the Tacoma-infused Sienna, the brand plans on unveiling it (along with all of the details) at the SEMA show in November.
