If you’re on the hunt for some of the toughest bladed tools available, you can always trust in Tops and their eclectic mix of knives, machetes, axes, and more. And that already impressive catalogue just got even better with the addition of their new USA-made Hammer Hawk.

Measuring up at 14.5 inches overall, this beefy full-tang tomahawk is built from a hefty combination of 1075 hardened carbon steel and micarta – giving it a Rockwell rating of 56-58 and an overall weight of just under 2.27 lbs. It’s not a lightweight hatchet, per se, but it has a whole lot to offer anyone willing to carry it. That includes use as both a chopping and slicing tool, but also as a hammer – thanks to the clever impact-friendly design of its poll (the backside of the axe head). It also comes with a 2-piece leather sheath for safe-keeping when not in use. Whether you want it for the campsite or as a survival tool, this hardcore hatchet can be yours for $280.

Purchase: $280
