Billed as the North American version of the machete, this Armageddon Knife by Tops is built for extreme situations and rugged work. As Tops tells it, the whole idea behind this knife was to improve the chopping power of a machete by increasing the thickness of the knife.

The result is a cross between the famed jungle-clearer and a large camp knife. Designed by Trace Rinaldi, the reach on this 1095 RC steel blade is tremendous, measuring in at over ten inches long with a six inch long handle. The included ballistic nylon sheath makes the Armageddon easy to take on the go, while the black traction coating is a nice finishing touch. This fixed blade retails for about $300, but for a little extra, you can add serrations to the blade, a camo finish, and rocky mountain tread grip. [Purchase]
