Having previously collaborated on projects and collections with the likes of Danner, FRONTEER, Woolrich, Howler Bros., Salomon, New Balance, Oru Kayaks, Chaco, Epic, and the Tenkara Rod Co., (just to name a few), Topo Designs is no stranger to joint efforts that focus on outdoor activities and adventure. And for Topo’s latest collab, the Colorado company has linked up with climbing gear and apparel brand, So iLL, to unleash a collection of colorful climbing gear and accessories.
Constituting the new four-item collection is a pack cloth-lined and heavy-duty YKK zipper-equipped accessory bag, a polyester-lined widemouth chalk bag, a (420D and 210D) nylon pack cloth-collared and lined outdoors and hiking backpack, and a vegan-friendly, flat lasted pair of climbing shoes that are handmade in Los Angeles — priced at $19, $49, $105, and $149 respectively. With the exception of the shoes — which feature synthetic uppers, a padded tongue, stiff midsoles, a one-strap Velcro closure system, and sport bottoms lined with sticky Dark Matter rubber — the entire collection is constructed from rugged 1,000D nylon, and aside from the chalk bag, the entire collection is made in the USA. Produced in limited numbers, the entire collection is available now on both Topo Designs’ and So iLL’s websites.
