Coming across good technical hiking pants is harder than you would think. Most look goofy, some fit uncomfortably, and a surprising amount just don’t quite do everything you’d expect them to. Topo Designs Tech Pants, on the other hand, look, feel, and work better than just about any other in their class.

Cut from a mid-weight nylon fabric that features a 2 way stretch and a Durable Water Repellent finish, these American made pants are built explicitly for taking on springtime hikes, bike rides, and bouldering sessions. Thanks to the included quick release T-lock belt and cinch cord lock at the ankle, the Tech Pants are easy to adjust on the fly. That means when the morning chill fades, you can quickly switch these into capris without having to roll them up. As far as durability through seasons goes – the gusseted crotch and reinforced stitching along the top stitched front pockets are built to stand up to the test of time. You can take spring on in these for $150. [Purchase]
