Both Todd Snyder and L.L.Bean are leaders within the heritage menswear space, and a match made in heaven in terms of collaborative aptness. While we’re still waiting to catch a glimpse of the pair’s upcoming partnership, Snyder has decided to give the world a lesson in the history of Bean’s most timeless items, courtesy of New York-based vintage shop, Wooden Sleepers.
The collaborative effort, which precedes the upcoming collection from Snyder and L.L.Bean, has been curated by the owner of the vintage outfit, Brian M. Davis. His expertise in the realm of nostalgic menswear is unmatched, and it shows here, thanks to the incorporation of timeless pieces from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Within, a handful of the brand’s most iconic garments make their (modern) debut, including a 1960’s Chamois shirt, 1980’s Field Coat, knitted, Norweigan sweaters, and sportsman vests/jackets. To round things out, a pair of L.L.Bean’s original 1960’s Maine Hunting Shoes have been presented alongside an orange and duck-camo trapper that, offering buyers the perfect way to round out their vintage wardrobe. Head to Todd Snyder’s website to peruse the collection, which starts at around $125; but act fast, each piece is a one-of-one offering.
