Often, we’ll come across concept vehicle and are left wondering what could possibly have been going on inside the builder’s head. With the bonkers TMC Dumont concept motorcycle, however, we’ve got a pretty good idea, since it was made by retired F1 driver, Tarso Marquez. That is to say: he wanted it to go fast.
We’ve seen motorcycles built around car engines before, but this takes it to a whole new level, as this bad boy is powered by a 300-horsepower Rolls-Royce helicopter engine (yes, you read that right). And that means it’s got enough power to send your eyeballs into the back of your skull. Even crazier: that engine sits between two massive Tron-esque 36″ hubless wheels – giving the whole thing a strange retro-futuristic vibe. As insane as it is, this thing also happened to be ambitious enough to win best in show at this year’s Daytona Bike Week – giving credence to what, by all accounts, makes very little logical sense as a motor vehicle. One thing’s for sure, though: we love this monstrosity.
