Titleist designed two new tools for the course without monetary restraints, allowing the imagination of their R&D engineers to roam free and go beyond the norm. The result is the golf brand’s premier Titleist CNCPT Irons engineered to be the best work they’ve done yet.
Both the CNCPT CP-01 and CP-02 are built using a rare alloy never used in club manufacturing before with a design based on the C-16 iron, which is a model that pushed the limits of golf performance. The irons feature the narrowest unsupported, constant-thickness face in golf thanks to the use of the super strong alloy. Ample amounts of high-density tungsten in both clubs lead to higher launch, exceptional distance, and generous impact. They also feature a Super Metal L-Face insert measured to perfection, allowing the irons to produce ball speeds and distances that are well ahead of the competition. The CP-01 is the larger and more forgiving of the two, offering a higher launch, while the CP-01 has more of a blade-like chassis to provide exceptional control. An individual iron will set you back $500 or you can get a set of eight for $4,000. You’ll be able to enjoy these irons with a fine golfing cigar on the fairway as early as May.
