Tinnie 10 Boat by JRuiter
From the designer who brought us his unique take on the snowmobile comes a similarly inventive design for a traveling mechanism that’s almost as old as man himself. Dubbed the “tinnie 10 side by side vessel,” it’s Joey Ruiter’s version of a small commuter boat that lends its design to the triangle.
His innovative personal watercraft is built from lightweight powder-coated aluminum allowing it to glide atop the surface of the water with ease thanks to its modest 173 lb weight. The flooring is made from white oak and the little boat also features Xoral upholstered seating that’s ideal for two. The ‘tinnie’ is Ruiter’s minimal interpretation of the classic ‘dingy’ boat, upping the visual aesthetic of what’s more often than not an unsightly piece of watercraft. It’s all powered by a 6hp, 4-stroke motor but can also host an electric motor if desired. And with such a smooth design, his creation will certainly be turning heads whenever he’s out for an afternoon jaunt on the local river.
