With all of the crazy doodads on our phones it can be really easy to forget that watches are designed first and foremost as tools. Different professions use different types of tools; scuba divers use dive watches, pilots used GMT watches, and 30 years ago, soldiers in the US Army used Timex’s Camper MK1.

Originally designed to be used, abused, and then forgotten about, this rugged timepiece from Timex is getting a re-release for its 30th anniversary. Given a few touchups for the modern guy, it features an INDIGLO Night-Light, water resistance up to 164 feet, and two different Nylon Straps that you can choose from. To top it all off, the watch is wrapped up in a special ripstop case. This limited edition piece is available now for just $99. [Purchase]
