Timex’s Allied Tide-Temp-Compass Watch Is Utilitarian Bliss

Timex has released a veritable slew of wristwear since its conception in 1854. And with more than a century of time-tested experience, the watch brand has steadily become one of the industry’s most trusted proprietors. Aside from producing some of the most acclaimed timepieces throughout history, the company has also found a niche in utilitarian additions — a number of which are represented here in the Allied Tide-Temp-Compass Watch.

The Allied Tide-Temp-Compass is an amalgamation of the company’s storied lineage, drawing inspiration from both the Timex Expedition E-Tide Compass multifunctional wristwatch and the Timex Intelligent Quartz Tide Temp Compass. This 45mm field-savvy variant boasts an airtight 316L stainless steel case, a steel rotating bezel, and mineral glass that’s been reinforced with an anti-glare treatment. As far as utilitarian functions are concerned, the Allied is chock full of emphatic traits, including a tide tracker, temperature sensor and electronic compass — all of which are driven by a dedicated fourth hand. This water-resistant model is available in three different colorways — Black, Gunmetal/Blue, and Gunmetal/Tan — giving buyer’s a choice for every outfit. The Allied Tide-Temp-Compass is available on Timex’s website for $190.
