Nobody wants to think that they’re going to be held against their will. But, for some of us, we’d rather be prepared for such a circumstance than be caught by surprise. And when a tool to mitigate your unwanted captivity comes in a package as small and as useful as TIHK’s HK2 Handcuff Key, it’s harder to find a reason not to carry one.

While this tool has much of the same features as the brand’s original handcuff key – it can unlock most conventional handcuffs, it’s tiny enough to easily hide on your person, it features a matte black finish, and it has an integrated belt loop clip – it has one big improvement over its predecessor. This one has teeth built into the belt loop clip for a much more secure and reliable carry. Weighing just a quarter gram and measuring up at only 20.3 mm in length, wouldn’t you rather just spend the $12 and start carrying one around just in case?

Purchase: $12
