The Thermite Launcher

Colin Furze is a mad genius. The 37 year old Englishman has made a name for himself by making everything from a scooter equipped with a flamethrower (for which he got arrested) to magnetic boots strong enough to allow him to walk upside down. His newest invention might be his most wild yet – a fully functional thermite cannon.

For the uninitiated, thermite is a mixture of red iron oxide and aluminum powder that – when lit – burns at a temperature of around 4,500 degrees fahrenheit. Colin had the bright idea to build a contraption to fire shells of this extremely hot stuff. He pulls the trigger on this thing while aiming it at cans of gas, piles of fireworks, and burns holes through wheelbarrows.
