The Takedown Skillet by Best Made

Jul 23, 2015

Category: Gear

It’s tough to find adequate cookware for your camping trips. Sure, you could strap your favorite cast-iron pan to your backpack, but it’s big and heavy. The Takedown Skillet by Best Made, on the other hand, is a packable pan you can easily store away in your pack.

The Takedown Skillet is half the weight of a cast iron pan and has similar heat-retention properties. The handle is broken down and is secured to the pan using two brass wing nuts. To use the pan, users simply unscrew the wing nuts, turn the handle around, and then screw the wing nuts back into place. The skillet is pre-seasoned with a natural oil blend. The 10″ Takedown Skillet is available now for $98. [Purchase]
