The Simpsons-Family Guy Crossover Sneak Preview

Aug 18, 2014

For 25 seasons, The Simpsons has only once been tempted enough to do a crossover episode. So if Jon Lovitz and The Critic was good enough for Matt Groening’s gang, surely Peter Griffin is too.

Fox’s two powerhouse animated series are coming together on one magical night this fall, and here’s your first look at it. “The Simpsons Guy” will be an hour long episode with the cast of Family Guy invading Springfield. Inside jokes abound, with none more savory and flame war-inducing than Peter proclaiming the greatness of Pawtucket Patriot Ale, only to have Homer call it a rip-off of Duff. There’s quick cameos from Cleveland Brown and Bob from Bob’s Burgers, and Bart teaching Stewie how to prank call Moe’s Tavern, only to have Stewie take it in a very “whoa” direction. Look for this neat little piece of TV history to air on Sept. 28.
