The Sea Dart
If Cadillac made small boats, we’re decently sure that it’d look like the Sea Dart. A mix between a kayak and a canoe, this watercraft built by the Texas company Escobedo benefits from some of the most high quality materials and manufacturing methods out there.
Weighing around 55 pounds and measuring in at 16 feet long, the boat is made from a special marine plywood imported from France using a special CNC machining method that eschews the need for screws or bolts. All of this contributes to giving the boat a classic – and maybe even antique – look, but it’s far more capable than some dusty old piece. Built to travel up and down rivers with ease, whether at a low-key pace or something a bit crisper, it’s an ideal pick for those who love great design as much as spending time out on the water. Coming in Oyster, Mist, and Mood Dust, these boats cost $8,500 from Four St. James. [Via]
