‘The Program’ Trailer

Think the rise and fall of Lance Armstrong can’t be spun as a suspense story? Check out the new trailer for The Program.

The film is about the 7-time Tour de France winner, but it’s also based on the award winning book “Seven Deadly Sins” by Irish David Walsh, so it’s just as much about Walsh’s intense pursuit of the truth concerning Armstrong’s involvement with performance-enhancing drugs. Chis O’Dowd plays Walsh opposite Ben Foster as Armstrong, with Academy Award-nominated director Stephen Frears (The Queen, Philomena) at the helm. Studio Canal is distributing the film overseas, but there’s no US distributor yet. That’s expected to change once the film hits the the fall festival circuit later this year.
