The North Face Ventrix Hoodie
It can be genuinely hard to keep track of all the cool gear getting released this year. Jackets, pants, boots – you name it and there are seemingly hundreds of companies rolling out new models for the season. Every once in a while, however, things like the Ventrix jacket from The North Face really catch our attention.
This synthetic down jacket does a whole lot more than just keep you warm. It responds to movement and body temperature to either trap heat, or to let it escape through a series of vents. The North Face achieved this by making laser perforations in both the exterior fabric of the jacket, and the interior synthetic insulation. Thanks to these small holes, the jacket acts as if it is almost breathing as you hike, climb, or run your way through the woods this winter. Hooded and non-hooded versions of this jacket are available in up to 11 colorways. Bring it on, winter.
