Only a couple of months ago, The North Face unveiled its Flight Vectiv, a groundbreaking trail running shoe incorporating carbon fiber plate technology for unmatched energy return and impact reduction. Well, they’ve already begun to work on the next upgrades to the lineup, including the Flight Vectiv Guard Futurelight trail running shoe you see here.
Like its predecessor, this shoe rides on the same innovative carbon fiber plate tech developed over 6,000+ miles of R&D testing and also has grippy 5mm lugs on its outsole for great grip on any terrain. However, this iteration differs in one major way: this one has an integrated weatherproof gaiter. That means, unlike its brethren, this shoe was made to perform in any weather conditions — which bodes well for runners who hit the trails regardless of whether rain or snow is falling from the sky. The sneaker won’t come out until the Fall of this year, but it will be priced at $250 a pair when it does drop.
