The Mark Boot
Embodying what it means to look good without all the noise, it’s safe to say Taylor Stitch does a fine job with their tailored clothing that’s never over assuming or pretentious. Now, fresh from their men’s workshop comes The Mark Boot, a dependable, rugged and stylish pair of boots outfitted in Flint Oiled Nubuck.
Handmade in Maine by Rancourt & Co., each pair of boots is water resistant and made from sanded top-grain cattle leather. It features a cap toe, a natural leather mid-sole, Nylon Taslan laces, and a Vibram 430 inset mini lug sole with added storm welt. Since it’s part of their workshop program, each purchase goes toward their crowd-funding campaign; think internal Kickstarter program without all the bells and whistles. Rancourt and Co. also plan to integrate antique nickel eyelets into the boot as well. They run a bit larger so Taylor Stitch suggests ordering a half-size down. Let’s hope these get enough traction to come to fruition. However, based on their appearance and specs, we have quite a bit a faith in the future of these boots. They’re priced at $400 for the pre-sale. [Purchase]
