Disney+’s The Mandalorian has been a runaway success for the brand right out of the gate, becoming the biggest and most in-demand show in the US within weeks of its launch, dethroning other powerhouse series like Netflix’s Stranger Things and HBO’s Game Of Thrones. And now, after the remarkably warm public reception from the series’ first eight-episode run, Disney has opted to release the trailer for the highly-anticipated second season of The Mandalorian.
The second season appears to pick up right after where the first left off, with Mando and Baby Yoda continuing their adventures across the galaxy. In addition to the return of some cast favorites from the hit show’s first season, this new second series appears to explore a myriad of different alien worlds, some intriguing vehicles, and of course numerous epic fight scenes action sequences. And, while the Disney-owned streaming service has yet to reveal how many episodes will constitute season two, it has announced who will be directing episodes of the forthcoming season, which includes the likes of Robert Rodriguez, Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, Carl Weathers, and Peyton Reed, among others. Season 2 of The Mandalorian is scheduled for a release on October 30 exclusively on Disney+.
