Since the inception of the company in 2008, The Last Drop has focused exclusively on high-end liquor curation, utilizing its immense expertise in the field to hand-pick a selection of top-shelf bottles and spirits for some of the world’s most discerning drinkers. And while TLD’s previous 21 releases have all been noteworthy in their own right, the brand’s latest drop is undoubtedly its most important to date, as The Last Drop hasn’t just curated this release, it has created it from scratch.

Dubbed “The Last Drop 50 Year Old Signature Blended Scotch Whisky,” this elite liquor was created by Master Blender Colin JP Scott — the same force behind Chivas Regal’s 18 Year Old bottles. Boasting a 47.2% ABV, this whisky started out as an amalgamation of single malts and grains and has been aged in cherry casks for an entire half-century, before being finished in bourbon oak casks. The result is an exceedingly smooth whiskey with a spicy and peppery nose, and hints of dried apricots, red apples, almonds, and oak. Limited to just 500 bottles worldwide, The Last Drop 50 Year Old Signature Blended Scotch Whisky is priced at $4,250.
