Though The James Brand already possessed one of the most coveted catalogs in all of the EDC space, the Portland-based gear purveyor has spent the first quarter of 2020 largely focusing on collaborative efforts with other key players in the EDC realm. And the Portland-based gear purveyor has now revealed its fifth joint-effort with a new collaboration with artisan toothpick outfit, Daneson.
Dubbed the Randolph Cache, the offering consists of a 3.9” L (0.5” D) cylindrical vessel with a threaded, CNC-machined screw-off cap that’s backed by an o-ring and equipped with a lanyard hole. Weighing just 1.1oz and backed by a lifetime warranty, the Randolph Cache is made in America from high-grade 6al4v titanium, and though it can stow any small objects like paper money, pills, matches, etc, it was designed to accommodate a handful of Daneson’s toothpicks, which are American-milled from north white birch wood and hand-steeped. For this project, Daneson opted to go with its Atlas Mint flavored toothpicks, of which there are two one-dozen vials included. All three items come in a custom box that, like the titanium vessel itself, is decorated in Daneson and TJB branding. Priced at $85, The James Brand x Daneson Randolph Cache is available now.
