The James Brand has already captured our hearts several times over with their catalog of killer everyday carry gear and folding knives. But they’re ready to take on a new frontier with their latest release, a survival- and bushcraft-focused fixed blade knife they’ve dubbed The Hell Gap.

Named after the projectile point arrowhead found in an archaeological site in the Great Plains of eastern Wyoming, the Hell Gap is James Brand’s first fixed blade and their first offering made entirely in the USA. Designed to be a rugged workhorse knife, it features a sturdy, full-bellied drop point blade crafted from high-grade S35VN steel mated to beautiful canvas Micarta scales that are as lightweight as they are durable. With a silhouette that allows for both larger chopping tasks as well as finer detail work, like woodcarving, the Hell Gap is sure to become your go-to adventure blade. Available in all black or stonewashed with OD green scales, and including both a Kydex and ripstop nylon sheath, this overbuilt outdoor fixed blade can be yours for $299 — but act quickly, because it’s a limited edition and won’t be around forever.

Purchase: $299
