DeNiro & Pacino Reunite in Scorsese’s ‘The Irishman’ Trailer
From Taxi Driver to Goodfellas, every time Robert DeNiro and Martin Scorsese team up, it’s instant cinema gold. It’s been well over two decades since the dynamic duo worked together on Casino in the ’90s and now they’re back to spark the gangster genre with The Irishman.
Alongside DeNiro, the film also stars heavy-hitters like Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, and Harvey Keitel. With a cast of superstars and the iconic director leading the way, the story of World War II veteran turned mob hitman Frank Sheeran is going to be epic. DeNiro will be playing the cold-blooded executioner and Pacino will take on the role of the notorious mob-connected union boss Jimmy Hoffa. The gangster film spans decades, so Scorsese used advanced VFX technology to de-age his veteran actors. Without a doubt, this film will be a serious Oscar contender during awards season. And after tons of mediocre flicks by DeNiro, it puts a smile on our faces to see him back with his old buddies to deliver a potential knockout. You can catch The Irishman in select theaters and on Netflix this fall.
