Todd Snyder is one of menswear’s most lauded individuals. Following the designer’s recent collaboration with fabled clothing and home-goods brand, L.L.Bean, we’re being treated to yet another interesting application of his unique taste. This time, however, Snyder has teamed up with the minds behind Maine’s established escape, Hidden Pond, for a one-of-a-kind getaway known as the “From Away Lodge.”
Remember when we said that Snyder had just revealed a capsule with L.L.Bean? It turns out that odd inclusion was more important to the story than you might have given it credit for. The From Away Lodge is loosely based on the Todd Snyder x L.L.Bean Fall 2020 ‘From Away’ Runway Collection, adopting iconic heritage pieces, traditional outdoor elements, and rustic accents from the series for a luxurious treetop abode. Inside the two-bedroom space, Snyder’s minimalistic design terminology takes hold. Subtle pops of red, black, green, and orange reminisce the colors of fall, while hand-selected L.L.Bean fabrics adorn the cabin’s reupholstered chairs, blankets, and pillows. At its heart, a specialty cocktail cart, local artwork, and framed vintage catalogs promote a relaxing, design-focused atmosphere fit for any creative who’s looking for their situational muse.
