The team at the Los Angeles based Derringer Cycles have become known for their gas powered bikes. After interest from current customers, the California based brand decided that it was time to introduce an electric powered bicycle for commuters – the Derringer Electric Bike.

With the demand for electric bicycles continuing to increase, it was really no surprise that Derringer would evolve from producing hand built gas-powered mopeds into creating an electric bike. While the bike is beautiful to look at, it’s also functional as well. The brand will continue to build each bike by hand, and will equip the 2-wheeler with a 12.5 Ah lithium-ion battery in your choice of either 37,52, or 63-volt options. There will be both a Heritage and Signature Series of the bike that will come with a 4 amp charger for providing additional juice when needed. As you could imagine, all of the bikes being manufactured will be completely street legal, and will be perfect for urban dwellers reaching speeds of up to 20 miles per hour on the open road.
