‘The Couch Surfer’ Honda CB360 by Federal Moto
Nothing quite excites us like the perfect blend of visual appeal and a respectable price, which is why Federal Moto’s Honda CB360 is worthy of a mention.
Federal Moto took on the project for a young client that lives and works downtown–he wanted something easily maneuverable to have fun with on his commute. So, Federal created the CB360 using two broken-down ’74 CB360 donors and pieced together into one “budget” cycle. The main goal of the build was to get rid of as much of the unnecessary bulk as possible, producing a simple yet reliable motorcycle. The custom shop de-tabbed the frame and shortened the rear of the bike while reusing the original frame hoop to save on costs. The engine was completely rebuilt, including new piston rings and honed cylinders. The tail light, headlight and turn signals have all been swapped out with smaller, lighter versions.
