Folgers may not exactly be king of the coffee mountain, but that slogan they came up with is legendary. Yes, for many people, the best part of waking up is in the coffee in their cup; but what about that annoying to go get it?

British designer Joshua Renouf has created a product that puts the coffee in your hand while keeping your feet off the cold kitchen floor. The Barisieur is a coffee-making alarm clock that first gently wakes you up with the sounds of steel ball bearings vibrating as they boil the water through induction heating, then incentivizes you to get vertical with a freshly made cup of joe. Now, there are two catches: 1) You’ll have to prepare the beans, sugar, and milk before you go to sleep, and 2) it’s not yet ready for purchase. [Purchase]
