Tesla Model X Off-Road Edition

As it stands right now, the world of off-roading is woefully untapped by electric vehicle manufacturers. Which is a huge shame, considering the capabilities of EV motors when it comes to torque response and overall power. Thankfully, the folks at Delta 4×4, a German tuning brand, have taken the first step in the right direction with their Tesla Model X Off-Road Edition.

Technically, this is not a tuning job. In all actuality, the Model X doesn’t really need it, what with its 518 horsepower and 387 ft-lbs of torque. What it does need to get off the pavement, however, is a wheel job. And that’s exactly what this one has – all-terrain tires with a quartet of beefy 20″ matte black rims. It’s a simple addition, but it makes all the difference. Word is, this wheel kit will be selling soon for $4,593.
