As we creep closer to the year 2062, the futuristic utopia the Jetsons lived in is starting to look more and more like a fantasy, but there’s hope yet. The designers at Terrafugia have unveiled plans for the first ever flying car.

The Terrafugia TF-X Flying Car Concept is the latest code name the vehicle has been given, but truth be told the American company has been working on introducing the first ever flying car since 2006. The vehicle will be equipped with a hybrid-electric setup, vertical takeoffs and landings, and will be capable of speeds topping 200 miles per hour. So you might still be thinking this is a pipe dream right? Well the company thinks otherwise. Terrafugia has plans to bring this thing to production in the next decade.
