Techart Porsche GTStreet RS
Porsche’s extensive sports car range is undeniably legendary, if not for the prestigious German manufacturer’s rich heritage within the automotive industry, then surely for the customization potential that each model possesses. The coveted Porsche 911 is one such platform — and now, Techart has decided to take their Street R to another level with the introduction of the all-new GTStreet RS.
Originally slated to premiere at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the German tuning corp has decided to reveal its monstrous reimagining of the Porsche 991.2 Turbo S ahead of schedule. Performance-wise, the company was able to bolster the vehicle’s 3.8L flat-six with an additional 187 horsepower, bringing the Porsche to 759 horsepower and 678 lb-ft of torque, overall. The addition of two newly-developed, variable-geometry turbochargers and specially homologated sports tires help the GTstreet RS accelerate from 0-62 MPH in just 2.5 seconds, and promises a blistering 224 MPH top speed. Aesthetically, a newly acquired Forged Design Carbon body kit and rear spoiler join forces with Techart’s specialized centerlock wheel design — similar to that of their Formula IV Race offerings. An Alcantara leather and virgin wool interior offers drivers the ultimate in personalized luxury, while a six-point harness and rollbar give the vehicle a race-defined pedigree. Only 10 of these high-speed monstrosities are slated for production, so keep your eyes peeled for more information following their introduction at Geneva.
