Taylor Stitch x Seavees Mariners Boot
SeaVees is as classic a west-coast brand as they come. Back in 1964 the then young sneaker company borrowed from the classic deck-shoe silhouette and combined it with a canvas top tennis shoe for a combination that has lived on for over half a century. Now, in collaboration with Taylor Stitch, the brand is taking a slightly different take on the boat shoe with their Mariners Boot.
This exclusive collaboration between the two Californian brands draws heavily on both U.K. style, and material. In fact, the entire upper on these boots is constructed from either a black, navy or olive 15 ounce genuine British Ventile waterproof duck canvas paired with a gusseted tongue for true waterproofing while you’re out on the high seas. Along with the attractive fabric, tough brass eyelets and canvas heel straps, the outsole made from a non marking gum rubber sole features a herringbone grip lock for traction while on a wet deck. Of course, these are just as good on dry land as they are out on the blue so don’t hesitate to pick up a pair when they’re made available early next month. These are expected to retail for $178.
