Taylor Stitch and Alpha Industries share an endearing fondness for militaristic outerwear. In 1959, Alpha began its legendary tenure with the introduction of durable, hard-wearing garments tailored toward field and aviation use, resulting in both the iconic M-65 and MA-1 bomber. Naturally, when Taylor Stitch set out to create its newest military-inspired clothing lineup, the Knoxville-based brand was already on the radar for a possible partnership.
As it turns out, the allure of Alpha’s legendary outerwear would captivate the creative minds at Taylor Stitch, resulting in a collaborative effort between the two. For the pair’s newest collection, they’re celebrating the lineage of the world’s foremost military essentials with two reimagined silhouettes — the M-51 Field Jacket, and ALS/92. Holding true to the brands’ commitment to improved manufacturing practices, each example will incorporate organic cotton and recycled nylon/polyester fabrics, pairing nicely with detailed accents like the M-51’s Indigo Reverse Sateen finish, and the ALS/92’s distinctive patch pockets, quilted exterior, and cardigan neck. Head to Taylor Stitch’s website to learn more about the ALS/92 and M-51, which will launch on October 19th for $168 and $298, respectively.
