Tarvas is a boutique footwear brand based in Finland that produces stylish yet competent hiking shoes. The shoe brand’s propensity for producing artisan, heritage-quality goods are shared by American brand, Tanner Goods, which has just joined forces with Tarvas to deliver a new leather-bound version of Finnish firm’s flagship Explorer model.

Starting with the Finnish hiking shoe, this collaborative version boasts uppers made from 5oz Navy Harness leather. These joint-effort hikers also come with a supplementary pair of yellow laces to provide an option for a bit of contrast and are equipped with a mud-guard and rubber soles. Made in Finland using Tanner-supplied leather, these unique shoes offer a markedly more fashion-forward take on hiking footwear, while still offering up adequate performance to deal with the unforgiving Nordic trails of Tarvas’ homeland. Made in small numbers, the Tanner Goods x Tarvas Explorer Hiking Shoe is available now, with pricing set at $390.

Purchase: $390
