Land Rover has one of the most heritage-driven histories of any automaker, dating back to the post-WWII era when their overlanding vehicles were first introduced to the masses. While their iconic Defender has been the recipient of countless one-off creations, restorations, and customizations over the past century, nobody has done it quite like Tamiya, who have released a brand new, remote-controlled replica of the manufacturer’s model 90.

The 1/10 scale model RC Defender 90 is an impeccable recreation of the off-road wonder, sporting a true-to-spec CC-01 chassis and a polycarbonate body that’s been fitted with separately molded ABS plastic parts. A long-stroke suspension system sports an interesting double wishbone and a rear four-link rigid setup that comes complete with integrated CVA oil dampers. Alongside these immersive upgrades, the Defender will utilize a full-time four-wheel-drive system with a locking differential and front-mounted brushless motors for the ultimate in replicated automotive poise.
