We know. Everyone has a smartwatch nowadays. While it certainly seems like they are a dime a dozen, there’s still room for improvements and surprises. And that’s exactly what this new one from Tag Heuer, Google, and Intel has to offer. Because, you see, it’s the first Swiss Made-branded watch with modular functionality.

At its core, the Connected Modular 45 is loaded with Android Wear 2.0 and Intel’s Atom Z34XX processor. It’s got GPS, a collection of simulated watch faces that mimic actual Tag Heuer watches, a baseline 30 hours of battery life (even with constant illumination), and compatibility with both Google and Intel’s personal assistant technology. It’s even water resistant up to 50 meters. But the coolest feature on this smart watch is its modular nature. Everything from the strap to the bezel is fully customizable. You can even swap out parts after the fact, thanks to Tag Heuer’s trade-in program. The Connected Modular 45 starts at $1,650. [Purchase]
