On the company’s 155th anniversary in 2015, TAG Heuer introduced its first-ever smartwatch with its “Connected” model. And the Swiss horological outfit is now expanding its smartwatch product range with the brand’s third generation of tech-laden timepieces via today’s introduction of the 2020 TAG Heuer Connected Collection.
Each of the new luxury smartwatches feature 45mm cases available in steel or titanium with chronograph-stye pushers. There are also options for either ceramic or metal bezels, as well as a variety of bracelets and band choices ranging from steel bracelets to rubber straps. Protected beneath a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal dome is an OLED touchscreen display that enables the watch to project a classic analog watch setup or any of its many apps and features that are available thanks to its use of the newest version of Google Wear OS. Powered by a 430mAh battery and packing a Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset, the watch boasts GPS, a heart-rate monitor, and a slew of pre-loaded apps included in TAG’s custom-designed software. On sale as of today, the 2020 TAG Heuer Connected Collection starts at $1,800 and goes up to $2,350 for the top-shelf titanium spec.
