Back in July, TAG Heuer implemented its in-house-designed Heuer 02 movement into its iconic Carrera range, debuting exclusively on the 44mm Carrera Sport Chronograph series. Making the most of the resources poured into developing this proprietary chronograph movement, the Swiss horological outfit has now introduced the Heuer 02 across its entire lineup of Carrera Chronographs.
The new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Collection is comprised of four different model variants, all of which share a newly-redesigned 42mm brushed-steel case that visually updates the automatic chronograph while still retaining much of the design language of the original models from 1963. Complimented via rhodium-plated indexes and hands, the watch is powered by TAG’s Heuer 02 automatic chronograph movement that boasts a 28,800 BPH beat rate, a 100m water-resistance rating, and an 80-hour power reserve. Sold with either a brushed-steel triple-row bracelet or a mahogany brown alligator leather strap, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Collection is scheduled for a release in October of 2020, with pricing starting from $5,350.
