Diamond’s Atelier’s resistance to the status quo is certainly not news to us, so when they release a new project unto the motorcycle community, it’s most definitely a newsworthy ride. For instance, in a world filled with repurposed scramblers, the good folk over at Diamond Atelier decided to do the opposite – take a scrambler donor and transform it into a street bike.
Now simply called DA#5, the Suzuki DR650 donor was at one point a full-on dirt bike that lacked character but housed a formidable engine. So the guys began by tearing down the entire bike before outfitting the ride with a new pair of 17-inch race rims wrapped with Metzeler Racetec RRs and an all-new suspension complete with 41mm forks and a sport bike rear shock out the back. DA also hooked the Suzuki up with an all-new subframe, a sleek LED taillight, a 70s Honda fuel tank, a Motogadget LED speedometer, Supertrapp muffler, and a black and gray camo paint job with light blue accents that set this kickstart bike off quite nicely. Oh, and it’s actually for sale so go ahead and drop them a line if interested.
