Super73’s Star Wars TIE Fighter eBike Has ‘Lightsaber Technology’ Built-In

Since the launch of the electric bike outfit, Super73 has called on a wide range of companies and influencers to collaboratively design one-off versions of its various two-wheeled wares. And after recently pulling the cover off of a Roland Sands Design-penned RX eBike, the Southern California outfit has now revealed its latest bespoke eBike with a Star Wars-themed build created for actor, Rahul Kohli.

Based on the Irvine outfit’s RX model, Kohli’s custom is heavily inspired by Star Wars’ TIE fighter and as such features a blacked-out livery with metallic red “Imperial cogs” and a red LED under glow kit, custom wiring looms, Crankbrothers Stamp pedals, ODI lock-on grips, a custom-embroidered bespoke ribbed black leather Saddlemen seat, 3D-printed rear wheel covers, custom resin-printed number plates, and a moly panel that can accommodate bags and luggage. Despite the fairly extensive visual transformation the Super73 has undergone, the most noteworthy aspect of the project lies under the surface. Referred to as “Lightsaber technology,” the electric scoot sports the advanced control board, motion sensors, and sound effects utilized by Lucasfilm’s prop makers, and replica Lightsaber brands, Sabers Forever and Kyberphonics were tapped to collaboratively integrate the Lightsaber’s iconic sound fonts into the build.
