Summer House Vestfold 2 in Norway
Owning a summer home is a dream for many of us, and the Summer House Vesfold 2 on the coast of Vestfold (southern part of Norway) is exactly what we had in mind.
This amazing contemporary residence was designed by the Norwegian crew at Jarmund/Vigsnæs Architects, and seeing that it was completed back in 2009, we thought it was way overdo for a feature. The single story dwelling took nearly a decade to complete, and spans approximately 300 meters of living space. The home has replaced an older building at this site, and you better believe that building a residence atop the rugged rocky terrain was a challenge. The owners wanted the home to match the rocks, from the shape and scale, right down to the material and color – and the end result is right on point. Of course what would a summer home be without a swimming pool, complete with water views that go on for miles?
