Instant coffee is not something you see a whole lot of these days. It was a pretty common way to get your day started in the mid 20th century, but it’s popularity tailed off as folks acquired a taste for more quality beans. Finally, thanks to Sudden Coffee, there is a way to make fast coffee good coffee.

Founded by Kalle Freese, a world class barista who has won the Finnish Barista Championship two years in a row, this ‘sudden coffee’ is made from coffee sourced from some of the best roasters out there (49th Parallel, Ritual) and run through a secretive process that makes it water soluble. They’re essentially merging third-wave coffee sensibilities with old school technology to make it so you can have a good tasting cup wherever you are. Simply pour it into your cup, add in some hot (or cold!) water, and you’re good to go. Prices start at $24. [Purchase]
